Green Office Program
Green Collect also offers assessment of your organisation's energy and waste through development of a Green Office Program. This service has been created to help reduce the impact businesses have on the environment while providing a second step on the path to ongoing employment for participants in the cork recycling program.
The Green Office program was developed with the assistance of BP Australia, modeled on their successful Green Office program.
From its launch in May 1998 till the audit of 2005, BP’s Green Office achieved:
- Reduced waste to landfill by 85%
- Reduced paper consumption by 81%
- Reduced energy consumption by 47%
This process resulted in a saving for paper and electricity in Melbourne Central of $436,980 and $441,869 respectively.
