Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for treatment of breathing problems in patients who have asthma or certain other breathing diseases. It can also be used for other conditions as advised by your physician.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or longer. Do not stop using this drug or change the determined dosage without your physician`s approval. Talk to your physician regarding the dosage suitable for your condition.
More Information
Albuterol can cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects may worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Use Albuterol with caution. Do not drive or perform
other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how
you react to this medication. If your
symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, contact your physician.
If your regular dosage does not work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to take it more often
than usually, ask your doctor
at once. This can be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your doctor may need to change
your dose or medicine. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't take less or
more or take it more often than recommended by your doctor.
