Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not react to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Reglan as prescribed by your physician. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your doctor.
Additional Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Reglan with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if you feel bad, notify your physician. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been suggested. Don't use less or more or take it more often than determined by your doctor.
