Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other treatment. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other conditions as directed by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Reglan as prescribed by your physician. Take Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Don't stop taking Reglan without checking with your doctor.
Additional Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Reglan with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if you feel bad, notify your doctor. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
