Drug Uses
Cipro is used for curing of bacterial infections. It can also be used to prevent or slow anthrax after exposure.
How Taken
Use Cipro with a full glass of clear water as prescribed by your physician. Take Cipro with or without a meal. It is suggested to drink extra fluids while taking Cipro. If you also take any products containing magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, or zinc (eg, vitamins/minerals, antacids), didanosine, sucralfate, or bismuth subsalicylate, do not take them within six hours before or two hours after taking Cipro. To clear up your infection completely, take Cipro for the full course of healing. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
More Information
Cipro may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Cipro is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Cipro with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, consult your physician. This drug should be used only by the patient for whom it has been advised. Don't take less or more or take it more often than determined by your physician.
