Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for healing of breathing problems in patients who have asthma or certain other breathing diseases. It can also be used for other conditions as advised by your physician.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or longer. Don't stop using this drug or change the recommended dosage without your doctor`s approval. Call your doctor regarding the dose suitable for your condition.
More Information
Albuterol can cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects may worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Use Albuterol with caution. Do not drive or perform
other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how
you react to this medication. If your
symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, notify your physician.
If your usual dose doesn`t work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to use it more often
than normal, ask your doctor
at once. This may be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your doctor can need to change
your dosage or drug. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been recommended. Do not take less or
more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
