Drug Uses
Premarin is indicated for handling symptoms of advanced breast cancer in selected men and women, handling or preventing a variety of symptoms due to menopause (hot flashes, vaginal itching, burning, dryness), preventing osteoporosis (brittle bones) after menopause, replacing estrogen after failure of the ovaries, and handling advanced prostate cancer in men. Premarin can be used for certain conditions, as suggested by your doctor, which can not be listed in the professional package insert. How Taken
Premarin should be taken with a meal. Take it at the same time every day. Call to your physician about the dose suitable for you and discuss stopping taking Premarin 4 - 6 weeks before surgery.
Additional Information
Premarin can cause dizziness. These effects can be worse if you use it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Premarin with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to it. Don't share this medicine with others for whom it was not directed. Do not take this medicine for other health situations. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, check with your physician.
