Drug Uses
Premarin is indicated for curing symptoms of advanced breast cancer in selected men and women, curing or preventing a variety of symptoms due to menopause (hot flashes, vaginal itching, burning, dryness), preventing osteoporosis (brittle bones) after menopause, replacing estrogen after failure of the ovaries, and treating advanced prostate cancer in men. This medicine may be used for certain conditions, as suggested by your physician, which may not be listed in the professional package insert. How Taken
Premarin should be taken with a meal. Use it at the same time every day. Call to your doctor about the dosage suitable for you and discuss stopping taking Premarin 4 - 6 weeks before surgery.
More Information
Premarin can cause dizziness. These effects can be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Take Premarin with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it. Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not advised. Do not use this medicine for other health situations. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, check with your doctor.
