Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who don't react to other treatment. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other situations as recommended by your physician.
How Taken
Use Reglan as ordered by your doctor. Take Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without consulting with your physician.
More Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, consult with your doctor. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Do not use less or more or take it more often than determined by your physician.
