Drug Uses
Premarin is indicated for curing symptoms of advanced breast cancer in selected men and women, curing or preventing a variety of symptoms due to menopause (hot flashes, vaginal itching, burning, dryness), preventing osteoporosis (brittle bones) after menopause, replacing estrogen after failure of the ovaries, and treating advanced prostate cancer in men. This medicine may be used for certain situations, as determined by your physician, which can not be listed in the professional package insert. How Taken
Premarin should be taken with a meal. Use it at the same time every day. Notify your physician about the dosage suitable for you and discuss stopping taking Premarin 4 - 6 weeks before surgery.
More Information
Premarin may cause dizziness. These effects can be worse if you use it with alcohol or certain pills. Use Premarin with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to it. Do not share this drug with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not take this pill for other health situations. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, consult with your doctor.
