Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other conditions as suggested by your physician.
How Taken
Use Reglan as directed by your doctor. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Don't stop taking Reglan without checking with your doctor.
More Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if you feel bad, call your physician. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Don't use less or more or use it more often than advised by your physician.
