Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for healing of breathing problems in patients who have asthma or certain other airway diseases. It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or longer. Do not stop using this drug or change the recommended dosage without your physician`s approval. Visit your physician regarding the dose suitable for your situation.
Additional Information
Albuterol may cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects may worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Take Albuterol with caution. Don't drive or perform
other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how
you react to this drug. If your
symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, ask your doctor.
If your regular dosage does not work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to use it more often
than normal, ask your doctor
at once. This can be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your physician may need to change
your dosage or drug. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been suggested. Do not take less or
more or take it more often than suggested by your doctor.
