Drug Uses
Desyrel is used for treatment of depression. It can also be used for relief of an free-floating anxiety (e.g., sleeplessness, tension), chronic pain. It may also be used for other situations as advised by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Desyrel as pre-scripted by your physician. Use Desyrel after a meal or light snack. It can take 1 to 4 weeks for Desyrel to work. Don't stop taking Desyrel without consulting with your physician.
Additional Information
Desyrel can cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Desyrel is taken with alcohol or certain other pills. Take Desyrel with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your doctor. Desyrel should be used only by the patient for whom it has been advised. Don't take less or more or take it more often than advised by your doctor.
