Drug Uses
Nolvadex is used for healing of breast cancer that has spread to other sites in the body. It is also used along with other medicines to cure other types of breast cancer. It is used in women who are at high risk for breast cancer and in women with DCIS (after surgery and radiation) to decrease the risk of developing breast cancer. It may also be used for other condition as recommended by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Nolvadex with a glass of clear water as prescribed by your doctor. Take Nolvadex with or without a food. Swallow this medication whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Continue to use Nolvadex even if you feel well. Don't miss any dosages. Taking Nolvadex at the same time each day will help you to remember to use it.
Additional Information
Nolvadex may cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Nolvadex is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Nolvadex with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, call your physician. This pill should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not take less or more or use it more often than ordered by your physician.
